A MINIMUM AGE FOR EVEREST

Was it coming: a self only after the summit of young Jordan Romero ( 13 years), the Chinese authorities have decided to put an age minimum (and maximum) on the highest mountain in the world. It will now be forbidden to venture into the mountains without having reached the age of 18 years. As the Nepalese side is already inaccessible to less 15 years, Romero is likely to retain its record for a very long time. China also took the opportunity to impose a maximum age of 60 years for attempts to summit Everest (unless medical advice proves the physical capabilities of the climber).
